Helping Hands Community Partners, Inc.
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation
The mission of Helping Hands Community Partners is to educate people about home ownership and, when appropriate, arrange financing for purchase, refinance, and reverse mortgage loans.
“We strive to improve the quality of life through responsible financing.”
We also actively work with government agencies and banks to accept properties in need of renovation. Using local labor, we convert those properties to be sold at below market prices to underserved populations including veterans, seniors, and low to moderate income families.
“We’re improving communities one family at a time.”
Formed in 2012, Helping Hands has successfully been renovating neighborhoods and educating people about different homeownership options. We found a recurring problem for our clients – they needed better information about the purchase, refinance, and reverse mortgage loan process.
In 2017, Helping Hands was excited to expand its mission statement to include the ability, when appropriate, to arrange mortgage financing for prospective borrowers. The response has been incredible.
Our culture of a Giver’s Mindset has been more than well received and is attracting experienced trustworthy industry professionals to join our team, where one is not just working but helping individual homeowners and the community. Please keep Helping Hands in mind for any real estate agents and loan officers who have a Giver’s Mindset. We’d enjoy the opportunity to talk with them to join our Team.
We believe in a GIVER’S MINDSET. We view ourselves as educators and strive to give each person the information and guidance necessary to help them achieve their homeownership goals.
We’re honored to help our clients. Everyone on our team focuses on how to educate and assist our clients before, during, and after the home financing process to achieve their goals. It’s an attitude of gratitude.
We will always do what’s best for you. For us, trust equals character plus competence. We have the highest ethical standards combined with industry leading experience and success.
Many people are afraid of change. We embrace it. We constantly invest in training, technology, systems, and loan products. But more importantly is our culture of extending a helping hand to others. We consciously strive to improve our clients’ situations as well as the people and organizations we work with.
We receive a profound feeling of satisfaction and happiness when we help our clients achieve their goals of homeownership. Purchasing or refinancing a home or obtaining a reverse mortgage should be joyful not stressful.
“It’s better to give than receive.”
We understand that the consequences of our services will impact not only you today but also your family’s story into the future. The financial ruin and emotional pain from the great recession and mortgage meltdown must never happen again. The best protection is to become fully educated.
“We know that what we do matters greatly in the lives of our clients.”
To work with likeminded people and organizations to champion our communities one family at a time.
“Expect great things to happen and they will.”
Bill co-founded Helping Hands in 2012 with the vision of attracting likeminded people who have impeccable character, a strong work ethic, and find joy in helping others achieve their homeownership goals while also helping the community.
Growing up a “Navy Brat” has given him a great appreciation of the importance of home and family. Bill has over a decade of local and national home financing and renovation experience. He has extensive experience working with various government agencies in having them join Helping Hands Community Partners mission and vision.

Alain joined the board of Helping Hands in 2017. Helping Hands sought his advice two years prior on how Helping Hands could better serve its clients with home financing needs. Alain is the president and founder of Direct Finance Corp., a New England based mortgage company, that has helped over 5,000 homeowners and arranged over a billion dollars in financing. Instead of trying to profit for his company, Alain suggested and volunteered to obtain the required licensing for both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Helping Hands is now able to, when appropriate, arrange home financing thereby bypassing the banks. The goal is to deliver better education, service, and loan programs. Alain graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, obtained an MBA from The Wharton School, and a Master in Real Estate from M.I.T. He was the first person in New England to earn the Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP) designation as well as the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) certification.

Pearl began her mortgage career 16 years ago when Alain, owner and President of Direct Finance Corp, asked her to step in to the back office as the accountant. Alain and Pearl have been friends for several years and he thought her skill set would be a good fit to take over that aspect of Direct Finance.
Pearl is a retired CPA, has a degree in Business Management from UMass Boston, and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College. Her experience as an accountant and CPA uniquely qualifies her for the highly anticipated transition to a nonprofit platform. The aspects of a non profit platform will open up opportunities to help people in the community which is highly important to her. Always wanting to help, but not having the additional time to dedicate to a non profit on a volunteer basis, this opportunity opens up that goal for her.
Pearl resides in Hull, Massachusetts and shares her home with her large breed dog.
