SUBJECT: SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?
Helping Hands Community Partners, Inc. is the South Shore’s only local non-profit mortgage company. Their mission is to strengthen communities by educating people about home ownership options, and when appropriate, can arrange mortgages. Joe McParland will encourage a lively interactive conversation about “should I stay, or should I go” regards to aging in place. Should you stay? What is the cost of moving? Can we downsize? Where do we go? What is co-habitation? Could it work for you? And, most importantly, some ways to reduce housing costs if you decide to stay in your home. Joe will highlight his greatest concern for older homeowners of “freezing in place” as a result of not having all the information and ultimately making NO decision at all about housing—until it’s too late!
